Opportunities

The Sales Tab is where you can customize opportunity types, stages and fields then visually follow the opportunities through the sales funnel.

What are Opportunities?

Opportunities track a sale as it moves along the company process. The Sales Funnel shows a visual representation of the opportunities. The levels of the Funnel can be customized by clicking on Opportunity Types from the Sales tab of the Navigation Bar.

Adding an Opportunity

To create an Opportunity, start by searching contacts. Enter a contact name, company name, or address and click  Search.

Under the Search button is a drop down where search results will appear. Select the contact and company that is needed.

Opportunity Type is the label given to the status of the opportunity. These can be customized to meet company needs.

A value and probability can be added.

Select the employee that is working the opportunity.

Add any notes needed.

Click Save to save the opportunity.

Editing Opportunities

Edit Opportunities allows the Opportunity Type, Value, Probability, Employee, Notes and Close Date can be updated here. Once the data is updated, click  Update to save the information.

The bottom half of the edit page shows the history of this Opportunity. Any time an Opportunity is updated, a copy is created before the changes are saved.

Exporting Opportunities

Clicking Export Opportunities to receive a comma separated value file (CSV). CSV files can easily be opened in Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
